A local profile, not an online account
Body Hub does not create online user accounts. Your profile and records are held on your device. There is no remote account to close and no support service that can remotely erase data stored only on your phone.
The controls below distinguish Body Hub’s local copies from Health Connect, original source apps, exported files, and Google Play purchases. Deletion is not a subscription cancellation.
Delete individual records
- Open the saved entry from its log or history. Log → All History opens history categories; body measurements and saved scans are available from Body.
- Choose Delete This Entry.
- Read Delete this entry? and confirm with Delete.
This removes that local entry, its edit history, its attached meal or recipe photo, and cached findings containing its data. It cancels reminders associated with that entry. Other records remain, including separately saved dose logs, exercise sets, meals copied from recipes, and earned achievements. It does not delete the source record in Health Connect or Samsung Health.
An imported record can return after another import, a source update, or a synchronization reset. To prevent further imports, turn off automatic refresh and revoke the relevant Health Connect access. Deleting a phone-step entry does not erase the tracker’s separate pending intervals or previously shared steps; stop tracking and use the all-data reset for all local tracking data.
Remove retained photos and outlines
- Meal or recipe photo: open the entry, choose Edit Entry → Remove Photo → Save. The change is applied when you save. Alternatively, delete the whole entry. Other records with their own image copies are unaffected.
- Profile picture: open Settings → Profile & Goals, go to the profile-picture step if necessary, then choose Change Picture → Remove Picture. This removes the saved app picture without deleting your other profile information.
- Body scan and outline: open the scan from Saved Surfaces in the Body scan feature, then choose Delete This Entry → Delete. The scan’s surface, outline, and setup data are removed together. There is no separate outline-only deletion control. Later scans can contain the same reference outline; delete those scans too to remove every saved copy, or use the all-data reset.
Raw scan captures are not saved by Body Hub. Temporary analysis images are released when the feature ends or is interrupted. Deleting an app photo or ending analysis does not remove an original image from your gallery, document provider, or cloud photo library. Delete that original there if you want it removed.
Remove all local app data
- Open Settings → Privacy & Data.
- Choose Delete All Body Hub Data.
- In Permanently delete app data?, type DELETE into Confirmation.
- Choose Delete All Data.
The app erases local records and their revisions; your profile; retained photos; scan surfaces and outlines; achievements; Health Connect synchronization state; phone-step state and pending intervals; the local entitlement cache; and personal insight caches and feedback. It clears preferences and encryption keys, cancels scheduled work and notifications, then asks Android to clear the remaining app data and close Body Hub.
If the app reports that deletion could not be completed, use Android’s app-storage control. On many devices this is Android Settings → Apps → Body Hub → Storage or Storage & cache → Clear data or Clear storage. Confirm Android’s prompt. Labels vary by device; Clear cache alone does not remove saved records. Uninstalling also removes the app and its local data under normal Android behavior.
Before clearing data, save any exports you want to keep. There is no complete Body Hub backup/restore or cloud record recovery. Installed app and model packages are not personal records and may remain after clearing data; uninstall to remove the app installation.
None of these actions deletes original Health Connect or Samsung Health records, exported/shared files, separate backups, support email, or Google Play purchase records. An active subscription also remains active until cancelled.
Control Health Connect separately
- In Settings → Connected Apps, switch off Refresh Automatically When I Open Body Hub to stop automatic imports. If the phone tracker is enabled, turn off Count Steps on This Phone to stop that tracking service.
- Choose Manage Permissions & Sources to open Health Connect. You can also open Health Connect directly in Android settings if the app’s Connected Apps screen is unavailable.
- In Health Connect’s app-permission controls, select Body Hub and revoke the read, write, and background permissions you no longer want. Android’s exact labels depend on your version.
- Use Health Connect’s own data-management/deletion controls to remove records stored there, including steps Body Hub previously wrote. Revoking permission alone does not delete those records.
Local imported copies remain until you delete them in Body Hub. Successful ongoing sync can reflect source deletions, but do not rely on it after access has been revoked. Other apps may already hold copies of steps you shared. Manage those copies in the receiving apps.
Deleting Body Hub data does not delete original Samsung Health records. Manage originals in Samsung Health or whichever app created them. A source app can share data to Health Connect again. See Google’s Health Connect data-management guidance.
Exports and backups outside the app
Use your file manager, cloud-storage provider, or receiving app to delete exported CSV files, HTML progress reports, appointment-summary text files, and shared attachments. Empty any relevant trash/recycle bin and review that provider’s backup or retention settings. Recipients may retain their own copies.
Body Hub disables Android automatic backup and device transfer for its app data. It cannot remove older or independently created device backups, copies made by other tools, or exported files included in another service’s backup. Manage these with the service or device that created them. Uninstalling Body Hub is not a command to delete external backups.
CSV exports omit retained photos, scan models/outlines, and edit history. Reports and appointment summaries are selected presentations of information. None is a complete app backup.
Cancel subscriptions separately
If you have an active Google Play subscription, deleting data or uninstalling will not cancel it.
Use Settings → Subscription → Manage in Google Play, or open the Play Store with the purchasing Google account and go to Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Select the subscription and follow the cancellation prompts. See Google Play’s cancellation instructions. Google retains purchase information under its own policies. Restoring an eligible purchase restores access, not deleted health records.
Support correspondence
To ask about or request deletion of information you voluntarily sent to support, see the Body Hub support page for contact details. Identify the correspondence without resending unnecessary health information. This is a request about support-held information, not a remote phone-wipe service.
For support and privacy inquiries, visit the support form. Contact email: youknowitsmestudios@gmail.com.
Support messages and attachments are deleted within 90 days after the issue is resolved. Information needed for an ongoing dispute or legal obligation may be retained for that purpose and is deleted when no longer needed. You can email the support/privacy contact to request deletion of correspondence; any information that must remain for those purposes is subject to the same limits.
